NBA Trade Alert: Raptors and Nets Swap Dennis Schroder and Thad Young for Spencer Dinwiddie

The Toronto Raptors and the Brooklyn Nets are involved in a trade as the NBA deadline approaches. Both squads have moved further reportedly with their trade. 

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, “The Raptors are trading Dennis Schroder to the Nets for Spencer Dinwiddie, sources tell ESPN.”

“Clarify: Thad Young is coming to the Nets in the trade with DENNIS Schroder, sources said.”

With this trade, Dennis Schroder, the FIBA World Cup MVP, will go to the Nets and Thad Young will also go with him on this trade deal. In turn, the Raptors will acquire Spencer Dinwiddie. 

Schroder’s average this season is 13.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 6.1 assists. Dinwiddie has an average of 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6.0 assists. His shooting percentage from the field is 39.1. 

According to Jake Fischer, “Thad Young is heading to Brooklyn along with Dennis Schroder, sources said, in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie.”

The Toronto Raptors are 18-33 for the season and are standing twelfth in the Eastern Conference. They have recently defeated the Charlotte Hornets with a concluding score of 117-123. 

The Brooklyn Nets are standing in the season with a score of 20-30 and are eleventh in the Eastern Conference. Young’s average is 5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. This shooting percentage from the field is 62.1 percent.
