NBA trade alert: 76ers Trade Patrick Beverley to Bucks for Cameron Payne and Second-Round Pick

The Philadelphia 76ers are currently occupying the fifth position in the Eastern Conference and for the season, they are 30-20. They were recently defeated by the Golden State Warriors with the concluding score of 104-127. 

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, “Milwaukee is acquiring Patrick Beverley from the 76ers for Cam Payne and a second-round pick, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.”

However, the Philadelphia 76ers have engaged in a trade and as per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, “The 76ers are trading Patrick Beverley to the Bucks, sources tell ESPN.”

The Milwaukee Bucks are standing in the season with a score of 33-18 and in the Eastern Conference are in third place. 

The Euro Cup MVP of 2012, Beverly was selected in the 2009 NBA Draft in the second round as the 42nd overall pick. He played for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, and the Philadelphia 76ers. 

In 2017, he was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team and in the same year he also won the NBA Hustle Award. Cameron Payne started his professional career in the league with the Oklahoma City Thunder and was selected in the 2015 NBA Draft in the first round as the 14th overall pick. 

In 2015, he was given the Lute Olson Award and has played for multiple teams, including the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, and Milwaukee Bucks. Beverley has an average of 6.3 points throughout forty-seven games. 

Whereas, Payne has an average of 6.2 points, and his shooting percentage from the three-point range is 39.7 per cent.
