The NBA champion and nine-time NBA All-Star, Anthony Davis, has recently shared his opinions on one of the episodes of “The Backyard Podcast” regarding the league’s bubble championship.

Davis, who is one of the most prominent players of the Los Angeles Lakers, further shared that the Lakers squad would have won despite the pandemic hit and that the bubble championship was harder because of what was happening around it league.

According to Fadeaway World, he shared, “People talk about ‘aw the Lakers championship. Oh, it wasn’t real, the bubble’ But people tend to forget, we were the number one team in the league that year. We had already won 12 straight. We weren’t losing games, we were 21-3 or something like that. We were running through the league. We were gonna win anyway.”

In the 2019–2020 season, the Lakers were 21-3 at the start and the squad saw LeBron James and Anthony Davis play at their full potential. The Lakers were incredible in the season and concluded their campaign with 52-19.

Davis was healthy throughout the season and played in 62 games, whereas LeBron’s average was 25.3 points, 10.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds. The Lakers were playing at their very best and then the pandemic came, due to which the season was halted.

The Lakers squad resumed playing after a few months but the conditions changed and everybody was trying to grapple with the novel circumstances. However, many were of the opinion that this title was not the same as the normal titles.

Nevertheless, LeBron, Davis, and other players believe that the title was the most difficult and further appreciate that the Lakers squad persisted under such circumstances and made their way successfully through the mayhem.
