NFL13th Annual NFL Honors Celebration Announced Seven Members To Enshrine In Hall Of Fame Class Of 2024

On Thursday night, the NFL held the 13th annual NFL Honors revealing seven members, and they will be making their way to Canton, Ohio, this summer.

Five of the seven-member Class of 2024, announced on Thursday night at the NFL Honors show in Las Vegas, were defensive players.

Defensive ends Julius Peppers and Dwight Freeney were named to enshrine seven in the Class of 2024. Linebacker Patrick Willis and Randy Gradisha were also named. Defensive tackle Steve McMichael, Wide Receiver Andre Johnson, and Devin Hester were among those who were selected to be enshrined in the Class of ’24 as well.

WR Andre Johnson became the first-ever Houston Texan to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday. Needless to say, the former Miami superstar snagged 1,062 passes for 14,185 yards and 70 touchdowns over his fantastic 14-year career (2003-2016).

Devin Hester, known as the most electrifying returner in NFL history, finished his career with 19 return touchdowns (14 punts, five kicks). He led the NFL in punt return yardage twice and kick return yardage twice.

DE Dwight Freeney, a seven-time Pro Bowler, three-time first-team All-Pro, and one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL, enjoyed a fantastic 16-year career (2002-2017).

Former DE Julius Peppers is a member of the Hall of Fame’s 2000s and 2010s teams, a nine-time Pro Bowler, and a three-time first-team All-Pro. He ended his career with 159.5 sacks, fourth all-time. He also forced 52 fumbles and amassed 719 tackles.

LB Patrick Willis, who played seven full NFL seasons (2007-2013) made seven Pro Bowls and earned five first-team All-Pro selections in his career. Also, a member of the 2010s Hall of Fame team.

Former Broncos LB Randy Gradishar is a seven-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro. He had 2,049 tackles, or roughly 205 per season over his career, and was named as part of the Seniors’ category along with McMichael.

Defensive tackle Steve McMichael made the Hall as part of the Seniors’ category on Thursday, made two Pro Bowls and earned two first-team All-Pro selections.
