San Francisco 49ers players hot under the collar after early morning fire alarm – ahead of Chiefs dust-up

The smoking hot 49ers team have been burning bright all season but a false fire alarm proved an irritating distraction.

They were woken up early yesterday morning by a false fire alarm and according to head coach Kyle Shanahan most of them were not pleased at missing out on some much needed shut eye.

Shanahan and the other coaches were already up plotting how to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in an intriguing Superbowl match up so their missed the 6 am shenanigans.

Shanahan said, “By the time I saw the players and asked them how their night was they were all complaining about the fire alarm and all having to go outside.

“I didn’t realize how big a deal it was until I met them. I think it was a pain for them to get up at 6 and go outside.”

San Francisco could be irritable in the Superbowl no doubting firing up their defense, which has been surprisingly poor in the playoffs after ranking as the third best in the league in regular season play.

Maybe they needed a fire lit under their feet.
