Boxing sensation Ryan Garcia took to social media on Friday to declare that his highly-anticipated bout with Devin Haney is officially set.
The two 25-year-old Americans, who share a history of six amateur clashes with three victories each, are now set to face off on April 20 for the WBC super-lightweight title.
Garcia didn’t shy away from issuing a stark threat to his opponent. He posted a video of their public banter on Twitter, writing, “Devin is getting pimped by his dad, the pimp, sad to see. 4-20 he will be crying, begging please have mercy. Save your son, Bill.”

Garcia, who returned to the ring in December with an impressive victory over Oscar Duarte after suffering his first professional loss to Gervonta Davis in April, is fired up for the clash. In a recent Instagram post, Garcia emphasized the significance of this bout, stating, “Game 7, this one is for everything… it counts now, Devin. This fight for me means everything.”
As the tension builds, Garcia urges fans to pray for Haney’s health and expresses concern about the fight continuing without proper intervention. “He will be needed to be carried out if this fight doesn’t get stopped at the appropriate time,” Garcia warned.
With both fighters currently holding undefeated records, the Garcia vs. Haney clash promises to be a thrilling battle for boxing fans around the world.
