“He has to be shown the door. Period” Legendary Sportscaster Bob Costas Criticizes Joe Biden’s Leadership, Suggests One-Term Promise

Few in the sports media have a resume capable of matching that of Bob Costas. The veteran sportscaster has worked with some of the nation’s top media outlets. Over an illustrious career that has spanned a half-century, the charismatic and colorful presenter has worked with NBC, TBS, MLB Network, NFL Network, and HBO Sports, among others.

On Friday, Costas veered from sports talk to add his views on the current political situation in the country. The US election is set to take place in November this year with Joe Biden seeking a second term in the White House. Costas, however, is not convinced that the 81-year-old is the right choice to lead the country forward.

“Joe Biden should have run on a firm promise that he would be a one-term president,” said Costas. “If Biden’s hubris is such that he doesn’t understand the best interests of his party and more important, his country, then he has to be shown the door. Period.”

The Emmy-Award winning commentator was speaking on Real Time with Bill Maher and received applause from the audience after his statement. Costas was extremely harsh on the current president and firmly believes that Biden is not the man to defeat a Republican party that will most likely led by former president Donald Trump.

Biden has been under pressure from the media and heavily criticized after recent reports he mishandled classified government documents.

Biden’s age has also come under scrutiny with the president set to turn 82 years old in November.
