“I love is that he loves to play the game” Travis Kelce’s Halftime Frustration Turns Into Super Bowl Triumph, Coach Reid appreciates TE’s determination to keep playing

One of the parts of Super Bowl LVIII that captured attention was Travis Kelce. Apart from the Swift frenzy that came his way during this season in the Super Bowl, he saw himself getting perplexed in the first half.

At halftime, Kelce registered only one catch for one yard and he was also seen being furious with head coach Andy Reid and also bumped into him. This was later justified as Reid, as per CBS Sports, shared, “He tested that hip out. He caught me off balance – normally, I’d give him a little bit, but I didn’t have any feet under me.”

Further sharing: “The part I love is that he loves to play the game and he wants to help his team win. It’s not a selfish thing, that’s not what it is, and I understand that. So as much as he bumps into me, I get after him and we understand that.”

After halftime, Kelce caught eight passes for 92 yards, and after overtime, his score was nine catches for 93 yards. He later became the game’s leading receiver, as per Pro Football Talk.

Kelce, regarding the head coach, also shared, “I got the greatest coach this game has ever seen. He’s unbelievable at not only dialing up plays and having everybody prepared, but he’s one of the best leaders of men I’ve ever seen in my life. He’s helped me a lot with that, with channeling that emotion, with channeling that passion and I owe my entire career to that guy and being able to kind of control how emotional I get. I just love him, man.”

With his score, Kelce had become the league’s all-time leader in catches, considering the postseason. He has also joined the ranks of icons such as Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin.
