Kansas City Chiefs secured another Lombardi Trophy at Allegiant Stadium, Patrick Mahomes after the win, Chiefs are never underdogs, just know that.

In the 25-22 victory on Sunday, Mahomes threw an unforgettable three-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman in overtime to deliver the Chiefs their third championship in five seasons.

The Chiefs came back from a 10-0 deficit to seal the win, tying the score at 19 at the end of regulation, and then Hardman caught a 3-yard game-winning touchdown.

Apparently, Hardman didn’t realize he’d won the Super Bowl after catching the game-ending touchdown in overtime, as shared by Mahomes.

Hardman shared with the CBS broadcast team,

“I ain’t gonna lie, man, I caught that pass and I blacked out. I didn’t know what was going on until I have seen Pat running to me, and I’m like, Oh, we just won, let’s celebrate.”

Mahomes shared in the post-game conference,

“I threw a touchdown to this dude to end the game, and he looked at me. He had no idea. I said, Dude, we just won the Super Bowl. He had no idea. He didn’t even celebrate at the beginning.”

Chiefs WR Hardman recorded three catches for 57 yards and capped a 13-play, 75-yard drive in overtime with a three-yard touchdown reception from Mahomes, earlier in the game he had a 52-yard catch.

Named as the Sunday’s game MVP, Mahomes went 34-of-46 and threw for 333 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce finished with nine receptions for 93 yards, including a crucial catch on the winning drive.
