“The deal is up. Time to make a decision.” – ESPN’s Ryan Clark declares himself open for business as his contract at the broadcaster wraps up

Ryan Clark may have retired from NFL football, but he is still a free agent, alluding to his availability as an analyst.

Clark has proved to be a terrific addition to television, but his contract with ESPN is coming to an end.

“3 years ago, I signed an extension with ESPN. I was so grateful for more time. I excited to prove I was worth more, felt I deserved more. We disagreed, & that’s ok. I set out on a mission to leave no doubt, end all conversations about my who I was in this business,” Clark posted, along with a video.

The former defensive back had plenty more leverage than he had three years ago and has become a much-appreciated member of the broadcast media family.

He posted on his social media the following:

“I knew it would take effort. I knew that effort didn’t promise results, but I dug in. Here we are now. The season is over. The deal is up. Time to make a decision. Either way it goes. The mission don’t change. I want to be the best doing it. Everyone should. I’m more motivated today than ever. I’m still the same #UndraftedFreeAgent.

He has been on First Take, Monday Night Football, Get Up and SportsCenter among other gigs and has proved enormously popular.

He has also built The Pivot Podcast.

He may go back to ESPN, move to another network or stay with his podcast, but either way we will be seeing more of him.
