How many points does Caitlin Clark have in the NCAA? College basketball phenom becomes all-time record scorer

Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark has become the NCAA women’s all-time leading scorer, surpassing Kelsey Plum’s record.

Clark achieved this feat by knocking down her first three field goals, including a remarkable shot.

The game was not halted to recognize her achievement, but Iowa called a timeout later to acknowledge her accomplishment.

Clark had a phenomenal first quarter, scoring 23 points and showing great potential to break the all-time NCAA points’ record for both men and women.

Caitlin Clark had a groundbreaking night as she surpassed Kelsey Plum to become the all-time scoring leader in NCAA Division I women’s basketball.

She needed eight points to break the record and achieved it in the first quarter with 23 points.

Her historic shot was a pull-up 3-pointer from the logo, igniting the crowd at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Clark continued to dominate, outscoring the entire Michigan team in the first quarter and finishing the half with 28 points and eight assists.

She tied her career-high of 46 points and then set a new personal and Iowa program record of 49 points, along with 13 assists and five rebounds in a 106-89 victory.

With 3,569 career points, Clark is now less than 100 points away from Pete Maravich’s all-time NCAA scoring record.

She currently ranks third, with her sights set on surpassing “Pistol” Pete Maravich in March.

She has four regular-season games remaining and has a good chance of breaking Maravich’s record before the conference and national tournaments begin.

Ticket prices for the game where she broke the record soared, reflecting the high demand to see her play.

Clark made a significant impact during last year’s March Madness run, attracting a record-breaking number of viewers.

The anticipation for her senior season was so immense that Iowa had to halt the sale of season tickets for the 2023-24 season.

Despite falling short of scoring in the fourth quarter during her first attempt to break the record, Clark remains an outstanding talent in women’s college basketball.

Clark’s incredible performance garnered widespread praise from various individuals, including Angel Reese and Billie Jean King.
