ESPN and the College Football Playoff had reportedly signed a novel arrangement in February. The agreement was worth $8 billion and it would have retained the yearly playoff on the network through 2031.
The prominent sports media reporter, John Ourand, has earlier reported that the giant network, ESPN “could pull” their deal from the College Football Playoff. He stated that the offer was presented as per the report by Andrew Marchand. However, the agreement was not signed. According to new findings the report might be considered doubtful.
According to Ross Dellenger, Yahoo Sport’s writer, via the awful announcing released an intriguing piece. He stated that MAC’s Jon Steinbrecher, who is a renowned commissioner from college football has handled the matter directly. According to the commissioner, there has been no evaluation of the recently disclosed deal.
As per Yahoo Sports, Steinbrecher, who is the longest-serving member, has sent a memorandum to the administrators of the college league to provide an update on the current affairs regarding the situation.

Jon Steinbrecher shared via Yahoo Sports, “Several news outlets are reporting that a new six-year television deal has been concluded for the College Football Playoff. Be advised, these reports are incorrect. Neither the Management Committee (commissioners) nor the Board of Managers (presidents) have reviewed a draft agreement nor has any vote been taken.”
Nevertheless, multiple reports have indicated various outcomes but the commissioner has stated that the reports related to signing have been incorrect. With time more clarity will be provided on the ongoing agreement.
