The NFL league has reportedly fined Nick Bolton, the linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs for his on-field action during the Super Bowl LVIII. With the fine, he has become the only player who was penalized for the safety infraction in the game.

The action happened in the second quarter as Bolton held the collar of San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy. The league, as per Pro Football Talk, has also confirmed that Bolton was hit with a fine of $8,238.

Bolton made a small horse-collar tackle on Purdy, he grabbed the back of his jersey for a moment and released him without bringing him to the ground. The officials, however, took the decision, considering that grab to be violating.

Chiefs cornerback, L’Jarius Sneed was also given the flag for showing unnecessary roughness. However, the league did not penalize Sneed or any other player. Subsequently, making Bolton the only player to receive a fine during the Super Bowl LVIII.
