Jaromir Jagr, No. 68 Penguins jersey retirement speech will feature multiple tribute videos, the appearance of each NHL trophy he won in 11 seasons, and the return of his idol, Mario Lemieux.

On Sunday, a 40-minute on-ice retirement ceremony at PPG Paints Arena raised the jersey to the rafters alongside mentor and Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux’s No. 66 and Michel Briere’s No. 21.

In his 10-minute speech, he reconnected with the city to which he is forever linked, Jagr said,

“To be here with you, hearing the cheers, I don’t even have to score. That’s beautiful. That never gets old. But I’m honored. I’m honored that Pittsburgh Penguins owners, the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, and (Penguins President of Business Operations) Kevin Acklin have decided to retire my jersey, No. 68. The 11 years I was here were amazing. Probably the best years of my life. So thank you for that. So, thank you for that. Thanks to you, I’m proud and happy to say that Pittsburgh Penguins are my second home. Thank you.”

Jagr’s emotional and touching speech included saluting his former teammates, fans, and managers, among others. However, his best line was when he thanked his girlfriend, Dominika, who seems to have been too young to see him play with the Penguins.

As Jagr thanks his girlfriend Dominika, he shared

“She’s too young to remember when I played in Pittsburgh.”

Dominika was born in 1995, Jagr is 23 years older, she was only five when Jagr officially left the Penguins. Dominika is now the CEO of JJ68 By Jaromir Jagr, a company owned by her 52-year-old boyfriend.

A Czechoslovakia, professional model until 2020, managed by Eskimo Bohemia Management. Standing at 5 feet 8 inches, Dominika, now 29, maintains a discreet personal life with Jagr.
