With talk of mergers and partnerships between streaming and broadcasting companies the NFL look undecided as to future of viewing

Paramount and Comcast have appeared to start merger negotiations, or at least combining streaming services.

The joining of Paramount and Comcast (Peacock) could set the tone for viewing the NFL for years to come.

Peacock streamed NFL games live last season even hosting a playoff game.

The numbers of streamers using Peacock has risen to 31 million subscribers at the end of 2023.

Paramount has a global reach of roughly double that, so talks have started as shared costs and profit margins will hold sway.

The NFL were reportedly shocked in Superbowl about talk of a merger between ESPN, Fox and Warner Bros Discovery.

With the latest merger talks the NFL could be losing its rarity leverage as it enters the next phase of the war against streaming services which will inevitably see them out of pocket, unless they find a way to monetize the progress.
