Bills’ Gabriel Davis Drops Hint About Possible Departure from Buffalo

The wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, Gabe Davis, is likely to head towards the free-agent market. The talented prospect was picked up in the 2020 NFL Draft in the fourth round as the 128th overall pick.

Davis has also set the league record for most receiving touchdowns in a playoff game. However, Davis has seen his trajectory go from record-achiever to going many games without posting a catch this past season.

The wide receiver also shared a video on his social media, although he did not say this explicitly, the video detailed his time with the Bills. The video’s perspective was potentially a farewell message to the Bills community. The official confirmation has not yet been given.

Nevertheless, it is likely that, after engaging in and holding initial negotiations regarding his contract with the squad, Davis might have decided to move on. Next month, he will become an unrestricted free agent.

In the 2023 season, Davis collected 45 catches, and 746 yards, including seven touchdowns for the Bills squad. However, with roster adjustments coming up for the squad, they would need to free up in order to fit the prospects into their salary cap.

As per Pro Football Talk, the Bills squad will be focused on reducing and altering veterans’ contracts rather than revitalizing their contracts for the highest compensation. So, it hints at the possibility that Davis might be looking to land somewhere as well after his time with Buffalo concludes.
