“I would give Tony Pollard another shot” Micah Parsons Expresses Hope for Cowboys to Add Gritty Interior Lineman, Advocates for Tony Pollard

The Dallas Cowboys have maintained consistency over the last three seasons. The squad concluded each of its seasons with a 12-5 record. However, the same consistency could not be seen in their postseason run, as they suffered early exits in each of them.

Now, the team will be looking to restructure the squad for the run for the next season in 2024. According to the NFL, the owner Jerry Jones had also stated regarding the coming changes for the squad, he mentioned, "I would anticipate — with looking ahead at our key contracts that we"d like to address — we will be all in. I would anticipate we will be all in at the end of this year."

"… It will be going all in on different people than you"ve done in the past. We will be going all in. We"ve seen some things out of some of the players that we want to be all in on. Yes, I would say that you will see us this coming year not build it for the future. It"s the best way I"ve ever said. And that ought to answer a lot of questions."

The Cowboys will be looking forward to overcoming their struggles and the obstacles that have diluted their postseason run prematurely. Considering this, the three-time Pro Bowl, linebacker, Micah Parsons, has shared his thoughts.

The prominent pass rusher of the Cowboys recently participated in the NBA celebrity All-Star Game, winning the MVP and speaking on "The Stephen A. Smith Show". They discussed the potential developments over the summer and the linebacker hopes that the squad can add prospects to their defense line.

Parsons shared via NFL, "I said look at every team that was in that final four. Who did they have? Who did Baltimore have? A great linebacking corps, right? Who did San Fran have? Great linebacking corps. K.C. (Nick) Bolton, and they came along. We need to get another bigger linebacker. And I said we need to get a super, 330 (pound) nasty interior [lineman]."

"I saw the way Chris Jones affected that Super Bowl and I was like, ‘My God." And not even Chris Jones. Mike Pennel. I think we"ve got a lot of rushers. I think Osa (Odighizuwa), he can play inside, outside, one of the most versatile DTs. When we lost (Johnathan) Hank(ins), he"s a big dude, but we need to get one of them big old, nasty, pass-rushing, get-going [guys]."

Considering the offensive attack of the squad, Parsons hopes that the squad signs Tony Pollard again, as he will become a free agent. Pollard played the last season on a franchise tag.

He shared, "I would say toward the end of the season Tony Pollard was catching his rhythm again. I do think he"s an every-down guy. You"ve got to think, he broke his fibula, tibia, something, that"s a catastrophic injury. You"re talking about a guy that"s really been off from that January, came back Week 1 but he didn"t really do a lot. It takes a while to get back into football. He didn"t do OTAs. He didn"t do minicamp. He kind of did camp a little bit like working through it, getting back into it. You saw him increase, like he even said, ‘I"m just now getting back to myself." I would give Tony Pollard another shot."
