Reports have been all but confirmed that Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu is returning to Korea on a substantial deal.
Yonhap News broke the news about Korean media reports saying that he was signing with the Hanwha Eagles.
He started his career at the Eagles from 2006-2012 before joining the Dodgers for two stints and then the Blue Jays for four seasons.
He was a major league All-Star in 2019, while also winning gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
His new deal at the Eagles is said to be $12.7 million over four years.
