While appearing on the 4th and 1 with Cam Newton show, prominent football player CJ Stroud shared his defiant perspective regarding the Auburn-Alabama rivalry in the post-Nick Saban era.
Stroud dismissed Auburn’s presence in college football, maintaining a bold narrative that clearly shows his lack of concern for the team.
The Ohio State alumnus exchanged comments with the legendary Auburn quarterback — Newton.
The discussion shifted towards the Iron Bowl’s future and Auburn’s standings sans Nick Saban. Stroud candidly stated, “I’m not worried about you, Auburn sucks.”
Newton, regardless of Stroud’s dismissive outlook, purported that Auburn has a slight possibility of resurgence, especially now that Saban has stepped down.
Stroud, however, was adamant that Auburn’s chances are negligible, emphasizing that Alabama currently holds superiority.
“No, no, no,” Stroud responded. “Bama own that. Come on.”
CJ Stroud says Auburn doesn’t have a chance against Alabama even with Saban being retired 🤣
CJ Stroud: I ain’t worried about you, Auburn sucks.
Cam Newton: Saban outta there, we gotta chance!
CJ Stroud: No, No, No, Bama own that, cmon.

Moving onwards, Stroud and Newton delved into discussions surrounding Stroud’s outstanding rookie season with the Houston Texans.
The conversation highlighted Stroud’s remarkable achievements of introducing the Texans to the playoffs and winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
The Auburn Tigers were on tenterhooks as they nearly overturned Alabama in the previous year.
The latter clinched victory through 4th down conversion in the Iron Bowl’s closing minutes. It was Alabama’s fourth consecutive victory in the series.
Looking ahead, the 2024 Iron Bowl is scheduled to happen on November 30 in Tuscaloosa where Stroud’s theories about Auburn’s chances will be tested.
