Well known sportswriter Peter King has suggested a move for both Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll to join the 49ers is not the craziest idea.
Belichick recently left the Patriots after 24 seasons, and it was a surprise he was not snapped up as a head coach earlier.
Carroll is a former head coach of the Seattle Seahawks.
The pair could replace Klint Kubiak who has moved on to the New Orleans Saints.
“I wouldn’t be shocked if the 49ers called Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll if they are interested in their open defensive coordinator position,” said King.
Stranger things have happened, and the 49ers could get rid of their Superbowl blues by signing on some legends, and of the smartest minds in the game.
