In the most recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Jason Kelce, the seasoned Eagles player, had a delightful catch-up with his former teammate, Beau Allen. The conversation took a humorous turn as they dove into the memory lane, recalling the time when Jason hilariously turned up drunk on his inaugural date with his now-wife, Kylie.
As they talked, Kelce teasingly asked Allen to recall the funny incident. Beau Allen chuckled and said it was one of the most amusing but tricky things he’d ever been through. He even joked that it was like tackling the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Apparently, Jason connected with Kylie on Tinder. Online conversations had transpired, and Kelce was determined to make a stellar first impression.
According to Allen, they pre-gamed ahead of attending a holiday party in Philadelphia, where Kelce casually dropped the bombshell that he was heading on his first date with Kylie later that night. The night took a turn when Kelce dozed off at the bar, leaving Allen to deal with the funny situation.
“We were at the holiday party in Philly, which is a big deal, kind of a formal event, we dressed up and pre-gamed it, of course … Then Kelce’s like, ‘I think I’m going to meet up with this girl,’ and I heard all about her, I’m excited to meet her. “Then the night just went a little bit sideways and Kelc fell asleep on the bar, like snoozing,” recalled Beau Allen.
Talking about Kelce’s quirky habits, Allen shared that falling asleep in strange places, including their favorite bar, wasn’t a one-time thing. He vividly described the amusing struggle of moving a sleeping Kelce on cobblestone streets until he gently dropped him.
Kelce, with a mischievous grin, admitted he remembered the whole thing. He jokingly asked Allen if Kylie agreeing to a second date surprised him after such a memorable first outing. Allen, in good spirits, admitted to being a bit surprised but couldn’t help praising Kelce’s charm and great personality.
Jason Kelce and Kylie McDevitt tied the knot on April 14, 2018.
The couple is blessed with three daughters: Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce, Elliotte Ray Kelce and Bennett Llewellyn Kelce.
