The upcoming 2024 draft is picking up serious traction as the Bears wrestle with who to pick as the overall number one pick.
The Bears earned the number one spot after a trade with the Panthers last season, while due to their position nationally will also have the number nine pick.
Even Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud was asked if Chicago should stick with Justin Fields or go with a Caleb Williams or North Carolina’s Drake Maye.
Stroud, a relative newcomer was smart enough to say something without saying something, “They should if they’re smart but you know…”
Stroud was the number two overall pick in 2023 and led the Texans to the playoffs.
The NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year has experience in such matters as going overall one or two and whether the Bears will be smart remains to be seen.
