Shahrzad Ehdaivand Slater is known as the wife of New England Patriots player Matthew Slater. Born in September 1981, she’s now 42 years old and originally from Norfolk, Massachusetts. Although she has some African-American heritage, she moved to Providence for her studies.
Shahrzad and Matthew met on a blind date and hit it off instantly. They got married in 2015, just six days after Matthew won the Super Bowl. They’ve been happily married for almost a decade and have four children together: Jeremiah, Noah, Micah, and Hannah.
Despite being married to a famous NFL player, Shahrzad isn’t one to seek out the spotlight. She prefers to stay away from social media and fame, except when it’s for a good cause in the community.
In terms of her career, Shahrzad has had an impressive journey. She started as a Document Control Assistant before becoming an Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine and then at Brown University. She also held a senior role at LMK Clinical Research Consulting before founding the Slater Family Foundation.
Shahrzad’s education is equally impressive. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Hood College, a Master’s in Public Health and Medicine from Dartmouth College, and a Doctor of Medicine from Brown Medical School.
Despite her busy life, Shahrzad remains dedicated to her family, her career, and making a positive impact in the community.
