What was meant to be a memorable day turned turned tragic on February 14th in Kansas City, Missouri. The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade will sadly be remembered as the day one woman and 21 other victims were injured when a gunman opened fire.
Shortly after the incident, the family identified Lisa Lopez-Galvan as the person that had been fatally shot. Lopez-Galvan, a loyal Chiefs fan, also co-hosted a weekly radio show on local station KKFI called “A Taste of Tejano.” She was a mother of two and a grandmother of four.

At the time of the shooting Lisa Lopez-Galvan was wearing a jersey of Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker. Per a recent article in Pro Football Report, the victims family had hoped to bury her in the same jersey but were have trouble finding one. The Chiefs organization stepped up and made it a point to provide the jersey for the upcoming funeral which is set to take place on Friday.
The Butker family was made aware of the request and released a statement:
“My wife Isabelle and I are heartbroken by the murder of Lisa due to degenerate violence. Murder is a sin that cries out to God for vengeance and I pray the men involved in this tragedy will be brought to justice. Hearing that she was a fan of my outspokenness for our shared Catholic Faith makes this even more personal. I am honored to provide a jersey to the family for her to wear. While the family is mourning their loss and grappling with their numerous injuries, I will continue to pray for their healing and the repose of Lisa soul,” said Butker.
Two people have been arrested have been arrested for murder after the mass shooting.
