Molly Qerim and Stephen A. Smith have developed a comical and playful relationship after year’s of working together. The two television personalities are constantly mocking and going after each other on ESPN’s popular show First Take.
While Host of the show Molly Qerim gets her fair share of digs from Smith, she can definitely dish it back as well. The sports anchor amused fans with another jab at Stephen A. Smith during Thursday’s show.
The incident occurred shortly after NBA analyst Brian Windhorst was speaking about Smith’s influence on the show. Windhorst touched on his colleague appreciation for Boston Celtics Star Jayson Tatum and how Smith’s commentary has the power to “move the odds.” Qerim saw her opportunity and took it.
“Did you really have to do that,” said Qerim. “You can’t make the head any bigger. Figuratively, cause he actually has a peanut head literally.”

Stephen A. Smith was not on the show but Qerim did mention he is probably watching.
The two broadcasters have a history of comical back and forth interactions. Last year, Smith exposed Molly browsing suits on her laptop during a commercial break. Prior to that, Molly Qerim’s mother had actually texted her during a show to scold her for interrupting Smith too much.
This was not the first time Molly has played the peanut head card. In January, 2023, she used the same comment after Smith gifted her a giant Michigan hat.
“Wow. Is this because of my big head? He has a peanut head and I have a dome,” joked Qerim.
