NBA Central reported that Utah Jazz forward Otto Porter Jr is healthy and ready to play despite not rejoining the team after the All-Star weekend.
The Jazz have reportedly given Porter the chance to go home and reevaluate his priorities.
According to NBA Central, “The 30-year-old Porter…is fully healthy and ready to play, according to league sources.
“His options include accepting a contract buyout from the Jazz, which would allow him to sign with another team. Porter would have to sign with another team by March 1 to be eligible to play in the postseason.”
The newly acquired veteran has been with the Jazz for only a fortnight but is set to option his buyout clause.
Apparently, Porter does not fit the Jazz in the long term and could be better suited to a move.
