The three-time NPB All-Star and MLB All-Star, New York Mets pitcher, Kodai Senga missed the team practice on Wednesday and the reason cited was “overall arm fatigue”. The manager of the team Carlos Mendoza shared about Senga’s condition.
According to MLB’s Anthony DiComo, Senga will also go for testing as well. Mendoza, considering the situation, shared, “After his side session yesterday, he came in and experienced some arm fatigue. So he stayed inside, and we’re taking a look at him.”

However, reportedly, Senga now has a moderate right posterior capsule strain in his shoulder and now will be commencing his season on the injured list. His injury was revealed by an MRI he underwent and the report was announced by president of baseball operations David Stearns.
As per Stearns via MLB, Senga will remain inactive until the strain’s symptoms go away and there is no planned date given for his return. Senga made his entry into the illustrious baseball league last year and gave an impressive performance in his rookie season.
He was later also selected to the National League All-Star team and also finished in the seventh spot in National League Cy Young voting. Senga is one of the most prominent players of the Mets and concluded last season with 12-7 with a 2.98 ERA.
The last season was led by Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer, however both were later traded. Senga was to lead the rotation this year but unfortunately for the Mets squad he has sustained a shoulder injury.
