On February 21, 2024, Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce shared a video on Twitter of himself running a 5K to raise money for autism awareness. Jason completed the run in 41 minutes, placing 511th out of 570 finishers. That’s pretty impressive!

However, when SportsCenter reposted the news, NFL fans had varied reactions. Some praised him for supporting autism awareness, while others were surprised by his running time. There were even comments about wanting video proof of the entire run and some playful jabs at his brother, Travis Kelce, who plays for the Chiefs.
Here’s how the NFL fanatics responded:
“As an individual who works with children & adults on spectrum… this is amazing.”
“43 minutes is wild.”
“At almost 300lbs this is very impressive.”
“Nfw he ran the whole thing I need video proof.”
“It’s amazing how much he supports his brother,” wrote one fan throwing some shade at his younger brother and Chiefs TE, Travis Kelce.
“Dude needs a beer.”
“So much better than his diva brother.”
“W Kelce.”
“The Kelce they should post more often.”
“As usual bro is working overtime to make the Kelce name likable.”
Kelce later joked about his lack of running skills and mentioned that “ran” might be a generous term for what happened during the race. Apparently, the Eagles center reposted Fox Sports: NFL’s tweet.
“Ran” is a generous verb for what occurred. But we had a blast https://t.co/LafhJ4c99L

On another note, there were reports in February 2024 that Jason Kelce might retire from professional football after the 2023 season, though he hasn’t confirmed this yet. Throughout his 13-year career with the Eagles, he has achieved numerous accolades, including seven Pro Bowl appearances, six first-team All-Pro selections, and a Super Bowl win in 2018.
