The Patriots will be hoping for an improved season and OC Alex Van Pelt is undecided if quarterback Jones is the player to lead the team.
“Really right now, everything is on the table, We’re just still working through that process. I’m sure it’ll be a collaborative effort, and we’ll make the right decisions when the time comes.
“The biggest thing is that there’s some good pieces in place,” Van Pelt added.
Jones had an up and down season and threw 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2023 and went 2-9 as a starter.
Jones will have to make good on his promising potential if he wants to stay in the starting line caller position in New England.
“I think the best thing for everybody is going to be a fresh start for everybody. I talked to a couple of guys already. Coming in with a clean slate, not preconceived expectations or notions of who these guys are and then we’ll build it from the ground up. But exciting to have the opportunity to do that.”
