Recently, PGA Tour golfer Georgia Bell just shared a little Instagram tale of a guy who decided to drop some unsolicited golf wisdom on her during practice.
As per the video posted, the dude walks up, starts with a casual “Excuse me,” and then dives into this whole spiel about how Georgia’s swing technique is all wrong. He’s got this long-winded rant about how she’s going too slow, messing up her game and whatnot.
Georgia, being the pro she is, tries to explain she’s in the middle of tweaking her technique, going through a swing change. But no, Mr. Golf Guru here won’t have it. He interrupts, claiming he’s been golfing for over two decades, and drops his two cents about her follow-through.
Now, mind you, Georgia runs a successful golf coaching business – she knows her stuff. But this guy? Oblivious.
She patiently repeats that she’s in the process of a swing change. But he ain’t having it. He insists she follows his “expert” advice, promising results. Georgia, not one to back down, decides to make a statement with a powerful swing.
Boom! Perfect shot. But does Mr. Know-It-All acknowledge her skills? Nope. He proudly takes credit for her swing, claiming it got better thanks to his “advice.” Classic case of not listening.
Georgia tries for a second time to explain that top players often tweak their swings. The guy? Still not buying it. He doubles down, boasting about his 20+ years in the golf game and, you guessed it, taking credit for her swing AGAIN.
Once the clip went viral, Golf fans were taken aback at the man’s arrogant disregard.
