“That was the toughest one” Draymond Green Names 2022 NBA Championship as the Toughest and Most Cherished Title

The four-time NBA champion, Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors has recently revealed which title was the most difficult in one of the episodes of the "Club 520 podcast". His answer was unexpected and he said that the 2022 NBA championship was his most beloved and most daunting to win.

According to Fadeaway World, he stated, "2022 wasn"t really a championship team.. but that"s also when Steph took that next step of like ‘nah I"m really one of them GOATs" and he carried us. That was the toughest one. [The Warriors] weren’t favorites, like everybody was calling us too small… and we went and made it happen. So that one was my favorite one, and then also I told [Kevin Durant], ‘I’m gonna win when you leave here.""

When the fourteen-time NBA All-Star, Kevin Durant left the Golden State Warriors very few anticipated that the Warriors squad would go on to win the NBA title. After Durant’s departure, the squad was shattered, and made a move to the Brooklyn Nets. Subsequently, the Warriors struggled to win more games sans Durant but their position later changed with the arrival of Andrew Wiggins.

Their performances on both sides of the court started improving and Jordan Poole’s rise was also helping the Warriors squad gain momentum. Green has also indicated that the Warriors were also fueled up to win the title as one of their key players had left. Durant leaving the squad was one of the factors of inspiration.

Green was the one who was initially interested in Durant and they both joined forces during their time in the Warriors squad. Their relationship was in good kilter but later that unfortunately changed.

An incident took place during the overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, where both Durant and Green engaged in an intense scuffle. After this, the crack between the two incredibly talented players of the league became so big that Durant left.

Green went on to win another title and Durant is now with the Phoenix Suns trying his best to add another to his prominent career. The Suns currently stand eight in the Western Conference and are 33-24 for the season. Their next match is against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Whereas the Golden State Warriors are occupying tenth position in the Western Conference and for the season are 29-26. They will next play against the Denver Nuggets.
