Joe Mazzulla, the professional basketball head coach of the Boston Celtics is leading the squad with incredible finesse and the result can be clearly seen as the Celtics are the first in the Eastern Conference.

The 35-year-old is the youngest head coach in the illustrious league and met who he knows to be one of the most decorated coaches, Pep Guardiola, who is the manager of the Premier League giant, Manchester City.

Guardiola is known as one of the most incredible coaches of all time and the Spaniard has won sixteen major titles and due to his guidance teams have reached prominent heights as well.

Mazzulla also spoke with some Manchester City players and shared that Al Horford and Derrick White watch their games often before the Boston Celtics move ahead with their matches.

Mazzulla shared, "Me, Al [Horford] and Derrick [White] – three o’clock when we get to the arena – the (City) game’s on. We have a rule, if Man City win – we usually win."

As per the Athletic, Mazzulla also shared that he frequently watches Manchester City games and there are parallels between basketball and soccer. Further explaining that both the games have a spectrum of offensive side and defensive side.

He then stated, "Soccer and basketball, when I watch it, it’s kind of the same sport from that tactical standpoint of how do you create advantages? How do you create two-on-ones? How do you recognize weaknesses in the defense and how do you take advantage of angles?"

"That is what the game of basketball is about, to me, and what counter attacking in soccer is about. So I study a lot of Man City. I study Pep a lot. I think he’s the best coach at any level, in any sport. It’s had a huge influence (on me)."
