The Argentinian FIFA World Cup winner and soccer sensation Lionel Messi is once again attracting prominent attention and with him the monetary trajectory is rising upwards.

According to Front Office Sports, last year Messi helped Inter Miami gain $120 million. The price once again has increased to watch Messi play against Peru for the Copa America tournament.

As per Ticketmaster via FOS, the tickets for the matchup are $8,400 and this number is just after the pre-sale started. The tickets according to BA Times via SeatGreet Inc. averaged $734.

The ticket for Argentina’s game against Chile which will be played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey is going for $5,300. Due to his international obligations, Messi will not be able to play in every game of Inter Miami throughout the season.

However, as per the report, Messi will spend a portion of the Copa America tournament in the United States. The 2024 tournament is hosted by the U.S. and was last hosted in 2016. The tournament will take place from June to July.

According to Front Office Sports, “The U.S. is seeing price increases to watch Lionel Messi’s native Argentina play Peru in Miami for the Copa América tournament. Tickets for the game are already going for more than $8,400—a 58% increase from Argentina’s match in New Jersey a few days earlier.”
