The six-time NBA All-Star, Blake Griffin, played a crucial role when he was with the Boston Celtics. He was a dynamic big player and team leader off the bench for the now-successful Celtics squad.
Griffin was selected in the NBA Draft of 2009 in the first round as the first overall pick. Griffin is now a veteran player and he still made a huge impact for the Boston Celtics last year.
In one of the episodes of “Pardon My Take” podcast, Celtics guard Derrick White and Payton Pritchard recently shared that they have been pleading with Griffin to come back to the team.

The three-time All-NBA Second Team, Griffin is currently a free agent and has been focusing on his family. He resides with them in Los Angeles. Regarding this, Celtics prominent head coach Joe Mazzulla shared that the player had informed them that his family is his top priority. So, he had chosen to not sign with the Celtics this season.

Last season with the squad, Griffin had an average of 4.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. However, Griffin has not ruled out his NBA plans but for the time being he is concentrating on his family.
The Boston squad would be thrilled to have Griffin back however it seems unlikely that he would make a comeback this season. Griffin’s teammates still support his return which clearly shows the kind of player Griffin was with the squad.
