One of the executives of the league has shared that the star of the San Antonio Spurs will become one of the greatest defensive players of all time. The Pro A Most Valuable Player of 2023 is also leading the league in categories of blocks per game and total blocked shots.
In the category of steals per game, he also comes under top-twenty talents currently of the league. The Spurs are not having a terrific season as they are 11-47 and in the Western Conference they occupy the fifteenth position but Wembanyama’s rookie season is going impressively.

According to AHN Fire Digital, Wembanyama has averaged 20.7 points, 10.1 rebounds per game across fifty-two games. The French phenom has also become the youngest player to score five into five stat points against the Los Angeles Lakers which included 27 points, 10 rebounds, five steals, eight assists, and five blocks.
With making history he also joined Michael Jordan as the only other player to acquire at least five points in both categories of steals and blocks. His performances has surely included him in top list of players and some of the other talents according to report include Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Kawhi Leonard.
Wembanyama"s offensive skills have also garnered much attention from the league as well. The next destination for Wembanyama would be to capture the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, however another prominent candidate in the line is Oklahoma City Thunder’s Chet Holmgren.
