“They’re suing me for $250 million” – Kanye accuses Adidas of ‘r***ng’ him with sneaky contract clauses

In a recent Instagram video, Grammy Award-winning artist Kanye West has leveled serious accusations against Adidas, claiming the sportswear giant is taking advantage of contract clauses to mistreat him.

West alleges that Adidas is putting out unauthorized Yeezy colorways, not compensating him for his branded shoes, and even suing him for a staggering $250 million.

In the video, Kanye expresses frustration, stating:

“Not only are they putting out fake colorways that are non-approved, they’re suing me for $250 million, and they’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on it. And they’re using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to r**e an artist, one of y’all favorite artists, right in front of y’all in broad daylight.”

Yeezy began as a collaboration between Adidas and Kanye West, where West owned the brand, and Adidas handled production, marketing, and distribution. However, Adidas took control of all aspects of Yeezy, except the brand name, after the collaboration ended.

Adidas terminated its partnership with Kanye West in October 2022, following antisemitic remarks made by the artist. These statements included praises for Adolf Hitler and denial of the Holocaust.

Despite the split, Adidas decided to continue selling Yeezy products by removing the brand name.

Owing to his antisemitic remarks, Kanye West has lost severed other partnerships with several prominent brands and companies, including Gap, CAA, and Balenciaga.

Kanye West Promoted Yeezy at Super Bowl LVIII

Kanye West made waves at Super Bowl LVIII on February 11 with an unconventional ad to promote his Yeezy merchandise. In the ad, West films himself on an iPhone in the back of a vehicle, urging viewers to check out his e-commerce store, Yeezy.com, where he claims to have “got some shoes and that’s it,” before the clip abruptly ends.

Ad slots at the Super Bowl reportedly sell for seven million dollars per 30 seconds. Surprisingly, despite its minimalism, West’s ad seems to have paid off, bringing in a whopping 19.3 million dollars.

Interestingly, undeterred by severed ties with his brand after being dropped by Adidas in 2022, Yeezy, West continued to promote it.

Despite facing setbacks and parting ways with Adidas in 2022, Kanye West remained undeterred in promoting his Yeezy brand.

Kanye West Turns Up at Son’s Basketball Game In a Bizarre Attire

In early February, Kanye West showed up at his son Saint’s basketball game looking like he just walked off the set of a horror movie. Picture this: Friday the 13th mask, full-on black suit, rubber gloves, and even rubber boots.

Talk about taking game-day fashion to a whole new level! Kanye always knows how to make a statement, and this time, he went for the killer look – quite literally!
