With Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa entering the fifth and final year of his contract the Miami front office is working hard to keep the star quarterback.
Head coach Mike McDaniel is positive Tagovailoa will stay, despite his rookie contract coming to an end.
“Both his representation and our organization are hard at work,” McDaniel told the Miami Herald’s Daniel Oyefusi.
“Those timelines are impossible to predict. My main concern this offseason has been communicating what Tua needs from his head coach and his offensive coaching staff, which is what things can we identify to continue the progression of your game the same way that we have since day one.”
The Dolphins line caller led the league in passing yards while also throwing career high touchdowns.
The hope is to keep the talented QB for as long as possible, especially given how electrifying Miami are on attack.
