The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly put the two-time Super Bowl champion cornerback, L’Jarius Sneed on franchise tag however this doesn’t guarantee that the talented player will be on the Chiefs line up in 2024.
According to multiple reports including ESPN, the Chiefs have tagged Sneed. Both the parties are open to trade if they are unable to reach an agreement on a long-term contract.

The franchise tag isn’t utilized like this but it gives both Sneed and the Chiefs squad further options. Through this tag both the sides will have opportunities to work on a long-term deal and if considering other options a chance to take on a potential trade.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Sneed have the deadline of March 15, to come up with a long term contract and if that doesn’t take place then trade would happen. There is potential that the Chiefs might trade Sneed to gather other prospects for their Draft.
Sneed has been impressive with the Chiefs squad and across four years has posted as per the CBS, 300 career tackles, ten interceptions, forty pass breakups, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and 6.5 sacks.
