The New Orleans Saints are scrambling desperately to make the necessary salary cap allocation and have reworked Cesar Ruiz’s contract.

The guard had a conversion done to his contract which frees up $6.4 million in cap space reported Insider Tom Pelissero.

The first round pick of 2020 has started 56 games in four seasons and is central to the team as they look to win the NFC South conference.

Last year Ruiz signed a $44 million contract extension with $30 million guaranteed.
