“Our goal was to blow everybody out the water,” – Former Patriots safety Rodney Harrison on how the team turned Spygate drama into game-winning action

The critically successful series Apple TV’s documentary series, The Dynasty: New England Patriots has brought the SpyGate saga from two decades ago back into the spotlight.

Former Patriots coach Bill Belichick was in no mood to rehash the 2007 saga, where they were caught filming opposition coaches.

“Yeah, again, that’s all in the past,” Belichick said when asked about the controversy. “I’ve made my comments on that. I don’t have anything to add,” the eight-time Superbowl winner said. Six of those were with new England, a dynasty team that is playing out on screens, tvs, phones or monitors.

NBC Football Night analyst and former safety Rodney Harrison told the docuseries the Patriots often took the emotionally draining spygate drama out on other teams.

“Our goal was to blow everybody out the water,” Harrison said. “** ’em all. That’s our mentality. That’s our little thing. ** ’em all.”

“Spygate, we all took it personal,” wide receiver Donte Stallworth said. “We’re not out here just to win games. We’re out here to ***’ make you quit. We want to do very bad things to you.”

The show is worth watching, as the players get into all the drama, passion and tension of those heady days.
