When it comes to measuring a football player’s popularity, there’s no better gauge than how they’re perceived by their peers. And for many of the up-and-coming pass rushers in this year’s draft class, their admiration is directed squarely at Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby.
What sets Crosby apart in their eyes is his style of play, his relentless effort, and his unwavering commitment to giving his all on every single snap. It’s a sentiment that’s echoed by numerous players who aspire to emulate his approach to the game.
We talked to plenty of incoming pass rushers on Wednesday. Most of them hope to emulate Maxx Crosby. Most of them also can't wait to sack Patrick Mahomes. (One of them knew not to say that out loud.) https://t.co/AM79wX5zPZ

In a revealing video, several of these aspiring NFL stars express their admiration for Crosby and how they aim to model their game after him. But interestingly, another video could be compiled featuring these same players eagerly discussing their desire to face off against Crosby’s chief nemesis: Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
When asked who they can’t wait to hit once they reach the NFL, the overwhelming majority cite Mahomes, with a few mentioning Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. However, one player humorously quips “all of them” during the session, only to admit afterward that Mahomes is indeed their primary target, albeit with a cautious awareness of not provoking a formidable opponent.
