Multi-awarded NBA player Kevin Durant has never shied away from a challenge. The 2014 NBA MVP is set and ready to dominate at the 2024 Olympics with Team USA.
This sentiment comes on the heels of the disappointing performance Team USA had in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
Durant’s determination to notch a 5th Olympic win for Team USA is apparent.
He stated, “Let’s go get four. I just really want to make a statement about how dominant we players are”, Like 40 or 50-point win. I want to do that,”

during a conversation with Rich Kleiman on Boardroom Cover Story. If Team USA pulls off a win, it would be Durant’s fourth Olympic Gold.
The Sun’s star player is also excited about rekindling the camaraderie among team members, stating, “I’m excited about being around that USA bond, that brotherhood again.”
It’s unmatched when you got all-stars in the NBA playing on one team for not just a weekend, but for a whole summer,”
Clearly, Durant’s contribution to the team extends beyond his awe-inspiring stats on the court.
Acknowledging the tough challenge ahead, Durant spoke about working hard to prepare for the international competition.
All Team USA players, including Durant himself, have their eyes set on demonstrating American basketball’s dominance on the world stage.
During his quest for another gold medal, Durant anticipates learning from the routines of his fellow NBA stars.
He believes that such observations could give him an edge and help him enhance his game.
“Just being around these dudes and seeing how they work every day, seeing what their routine is before game, what they drinking and eating, how they stretching … I’ll be looking at all that little stuff because I’m just like so interested to see how you work and what makes you you because all the greats will be here. So I’m excited about all that,” the Suns superstar stated.
The lineup for Team USA reads like a roll call of the NBA’s best players, including LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard, Devin Booker, Anthony Davis, and James Harden.
But selecting a team is more complex than merely picking the best talent available. USA Basketball’s Managing Director, Grant Hill, and head coach Steve Kerr, face a challenging task of assembling a winning team for the upcoming Olympics.
As Team USA prepares for the 2024 Olympic Games, Durant’s energy and dominance on the court will be a key factor.
