Newton admitted that he let his emotions get the best of him and expressed remorse for his actions. He apologized to event organizers, players, and parents affected by the incident. Newton clarified that he did not throw any punches and was merely fending off the others involved.

Newton, who last played in the NFL in 2021, has had a successful career, throwing for over 32,000 yards and 194 touchdowns. He also runs an organization called C1N, aimed at developing young athletes" football skills through tournaments and events. Newton"s 15-and-under team emerged as champions at the aforementioned tournament.

Newton is the founder of the C1N football organization, which focuses on developing young athletes" skills through 7-on-7 tournaments. He often attends these events to support his players. The altercation stemmed from trash talk during a game between Newton and former members of his organization.
