Klay Thompson, a five-time All-Star, is facing a challenging season with the Golden State Warriors. His recent performance, shooting just 2 of 10 from the field and 1 of 7 from deep, reflects a trend of poor showings. Frustrated after a game, he vented by throwing his phone at his locker.

This season has been tough for the 34-year-old guard. His shooting percentage is the lowest since his rookie year, and he’s scoring the fewest points per game since his second season.

The situation escalated on February 15 when coach Steve Kerr decided to bring Thompson off the bench against the Utah Jazz, breaking his streak of starting 727 games. However, Thompson responded positively, providing a significant boost with four 3-pointers in the third quarter.

Now, Thompson finds himself adjusting to a new role as the Warriors’ sixth man. This change was necessary as the team struggled, sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference.

Initially, Thompson didn’t take the news well and had a heated exchange with Kerr and the coaching staff. However, he later apologized and recognized the opportunity to contribute in his new role.

During the All-Star break, Thompson took time off to reset mentally, spending quality time with his family and enjoying outdoor activities.

Throughout the season, Thompson has been open about his struggles on the court, expressing his desire to contribute positively to the team. Despite setbacks, he remains determined to overcome challenges and help the Warriors succeed.
