The NFL world is still mourning the news of the Philadelphia Eagles center, Jason Kelce, announcing his retirement from the league on March 4, 2024. Jason hung up his cleats officially after playing in Philadelphia for 13 NFL seasons.

However, what caught the attention was the unexpected nods to his younger brother and Chiefs star TE, Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift in seven-time Pro Bowler’s emotional farewell speech.

During the tear-jerking address, Kelce made not one, but two references to Taylor Swift’s songs.

In one instance, Kelce remarked, “It’s only too poetic I found my career being fulfilled in the city of brotherly love, I knew that relationship all too well.”

‘All Too Well’ echoes Taylor Swift’s song “All Too Well,” released in 2012 on her album Red.

In another moment, Kelce shared, “If you go above and beyond for this city, you will be rewarded above your wildest dreams.”

‘Wildest Dreams’ closely mirrors the name of Taylor Swift’s song, “Wildest Dreams,” featured on her 2014 album 1989. The song even earned a nomination for an MTV Movie Award for Best Musical Moment.

The question on everyone’s minds is whether these references were deliberate or if Kelce is simply a Swiftie at heart.

Taylor Swift and Jason Kelce crossed paths on January 21, 2024, during the Chiefs’ playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.

Later, Travis Kelce, on the “New Heights” podcast on January 24, 2024, mentioned that Taylor Swift enjoyed meeting his brother Jason.

Additionally, Jason was seen interacting with Swift and rapper Ice Spice at Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024.
