Pat McAfee Shuts Down WrestleMania Hopes: WWE Fans Left Disappointed as ESPN Host Reveals Drug Test Concerns

The familiar voice on Monday Night Raw, Pat McAfee, stunned WWE fans with a surprise in-ring appearance during the Royal Rumble in January.

This move was unexpected but deeply commended by the wrestling community. Despite his exciting in-ring performance, McAfee has revealed that he doesn’t plan an imminent return to the wrestling ring.

McAfee is a self-proclaimed “wrestling mark.” His passion for wrestling, punctuated by its frenzy, athleticism, and an undeniable ambiance of drama, is hard to ignore.

McAfee grew up in “The Attitude Era” worshipping the wrestling giants “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock.

His recent involvement with WWE, therefore, struck a chord with his childhood dreams.

McAfee, although tied to a demanding schedule, finds the lean periods during non-college football months quite liberating.

This free time allows him to focus and contribute significantly to the professional wrestling arena in ways only he can.

McAfee imbued his personal style into wrestling with his signature move – punting “the soul” out of opponents.

But McAfee fans expecting to witness this feat at WrestleMania in Philadelphia next month might be in for a disappointment. It seems the ESPN sportscaster won’t be “punting” anyone soon.

“In Philly? I don’t know, dude,” McAfee told Matt Barnes. “So, I got a lot of science pumping through me right now. You know, when you retire, I said, ‘Hey, I want that rich guy stuff. What are these rich guys taking that I see on Instagram? That are all — you know, don’t get fat.

“I don’t know how it works. With my particular build, if I eat pizza four times, fat. Okay? Fat. And the football season is long. And every year, I’ve gained like 50-60 pounds since retiring. So, this year, I’m like, ‘I’m gonna get on the rich guy stuff that cheats and keeps me thin.’ Not as full as the Ozempic move. But I’m not against it. I will head to that route in a couple years.”

Despite his WWE hiatus, McAfee continues to maintain his robust physique, typical of his football-playing days.

He combines meticulous research and a strict dietary regime involving nutritional supplements.

While he seems to be at ease with his choices, he acknowledges that his dietary plans would flout the rules of both the NFL and the WWE.

McAfee expressed his relaxed attitude towards his unconventional regimen, claiming, “I’m on a bunch of stuff.”

Reacting to inquiries about the potential long-term health risks of his chosen supplements, the ESPN personality conceded that he had “not a clue” about any possible ramifications.

“Am I gonna die? Who knows,” he added. “Probably. They say everybody is. But is one gonna take years off my life? Maybe, but was that gonna happen anyway? We don’t know. I’ve always said, too, if I have something that’s going to kill me — that we might be able to have a cure for someday — I would like to be frozen until we find the cure. Bring my back 2120. Think about me getting dropped in that society; I’ll be  pumped up about it.

“That being said, I don’t think I could pass any drug tests for WrestleMania. They drug test people, so yeah, that’s the real deal…and I’m on everything I think they’re testing for.”

In light of this information, it’s likely we won’t witness McAfee’s return to the WWE ring anytime soon.

This news will undoubtedly disappoint his fans who were eager to see their beloved ‘wrestling mark’ back in action.

While his future in wrestling might be uncertain, there’s no denying that McAfee’s enthusiasm and passion for the sport will continue to live on.
