The championship winning Miami Heat teams of the 2010’s will be remembered for their dominance, style and efficiency. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, who have combined for an incredible 33 All-Star appearances, will receive most of the plaudits but basketball fans that followed that era closely understand just how important Chris Bosh’s role was to the team.
Following his success with the Toronto Raptors, Bosh was recruited for the 2010-2011 season to compliment James and Wade in what would become one of the most star-studded rosters in the league.
During an episode of the The OGs Show, former teammates Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller opened up about Bosh’s importance and influence to the lineup.
“Everyone thinks our most important player was Bron. Our most important player was CB,” said Haslem. “If Bron went down, you could bring in D-Wade, and it’s not the same player, but you’re gonna get similar results.”

At 6’11” and approximately 235 pounds, Bosh was one of the more agile big men in the league at the time. He was able to get up and down the court, defend the permitter and contribute with points from all our the court.
“We couldn’t simulate it; we didn’t have another CB, “added Haslem.
During the 2011-2012 season, Bosh averaged 18 points, 7.9 assists, 1.8 assists and 0.8 blocks per game to help guide the Heat to an NBA championship over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The following year, the Heat were pushed to a game seven before eventually defeating the San Antonio Spurs. Bosh finished the regular season averaging 16.6, 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
