The CEO of The Ringer and podcaster Bill Simmons has once again found himself at the center of attention due to his remarks made considering the Miami Heat squad.
Bill Simmons says Heat culture is luck
"They get Herro in a coin flip with Boston"
"Get Bam at 14 because the moron Blazers trade up 2 picks to draft Zach Collins"
"They get Butler because Portlands f*cking stupid an takes Whiteside so they fit Butler in their cap" 😭🔥 pic.twitter.com/VNaZoCFHwr

Simmons in one of the episodes of "The Bill Simmons Podcast" shared that Heat culture is evolving due to "luck" and per Heat Nation he said, "Here’s my hottest take for you [Ryen] Russillo. The Heat are f—— lucky. This [Jaime] Jaquez thing, it’s so upsetting. … No, so they get [Tyler] Herro because they win a f—— coin flip with Boston. They get Bam [Adebayo] at 14 because the moron Portland Trail Blazers trade two picks to move up to 10, and they take Zach Collins instead of Bam. And then [Luke] Kennard goes to the [Detroit] Pistons, 12. Bam falls to 14.
"They get [Terry] Rozier for barely anything. They get [Jimmy] Butler because Portland — again, Portland helps them twice. Portland’s f—— stupid. They’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ll take Hassan Whiteside so you can fit Butler in your cap, cool.’
"And then they get Jaquez when the [Los Angeles] Lakers, who he’s playing at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles). He’s five feet away, and he’s ready to play. He’s ready to be in a rotation.
"I like the point guard they took from Indiana [University Bloomington]. Yeah, I know he has potential, but you have LeBron [James]. He’s 39. You need to get somebody in that draft who can play now, and they just pass on him.
"… It f—— makes me mad. But all of it’s luck. Ah, it’s luck. Everyone’s like, ‘Heat culture!’ You know what the Heat culture is? F—— luck."
However, according to Awful Announcing’s Sam Neumann, both hosts of Miami radio Leroy Hoard and Brendan Tobin took considerable objection to Simmons’ remarks. Tobin extended his opinions and called Simmons "fearful" as the podcaster is aware of the talents of the Heat squad. The Boston Celtics were defeated by Miami Heat in more than one Eastern Conference. Tobin also criticized Simmons while expressing his opinions.
As per the report, "Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz" also offered their opinions on what Simmons shared regarding the Heat squad. Batard in his remarks conveyed that for him public opinions on the issue were more important than Simmons remarks.
He shared, "On my phone yesterday, simultaneously, this is what I had happening. It was both delightful and unrelentingly annoying. Where I have Jeremy Taché, Mike Ryan, and Mike Schur, all of them just insane, arguing about what Bill Simmons said about the Miami Heat, where he said, ‘Heat culture is just lucky.’ And so I’ve got that argument going on, where I’m thinking to myself, ‘My God, over the 20 years we’ve been doing this, there is little that I have experienced that is dumber than fans having their allegiance to a team, getting infuriated when person says their team was lucky.’"
"I understand that there is luck involved in almost any championship that is won. And I don’t think it’s a diminishment of merit that one person over there thinks you’re lucky because you won a championship. But Heat fans are starved for the kind of arguments they had 2010-2014, so if anybody says anything about their team that feels like diminishment, they will grab the disrespect of that."
The Miami Heat are currently standing sixth in the Eastern Conference and for the season they are 35-26. They have recently defeated the Detroit Pistons with a concluding score of 118-110. They will next face the Dallas Mavericks.
