Breaking down the numbers further, the Saturday coverage that featured quarterback, wide receiver, and running back on-field drills, averaged a remarkable 399,000 viewers.
This number propelled this day to be the most-watched Day 3 in the history of NFL Network’s combine coverage.
Impressive numbers were not just limited to Saturday. Take Thursday’s coverage for instance – defensive linemen and linebacker on-field drills on this day brought in an average of 185,000 viewers, up 23% from the previous year.
The trend continued with Friday’s coverage of the defensive back and tight end on-field drills collecting an average of 175K viewers, up 7% compared to last year.
When it comes to football, the expert commentary often becomes the highlight reel in itself. The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine was no exception.
Sportscasting veterans including Rich Eisen and lead draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah held the fort in the broadcast booth.
Alongside them, Chris Rose, Charles Davis, Peter Schrager, Ian Rapoport, Stacey Dales, and Jamie Erdahl ensured the viewers stayed entertained and informed.
While the scouting combine had its moments under the spotlight, the fans now eagerly await the live coverage of the 2024 NFL Draft unveiling on April 25-27 from Detroit.
