Former WWE Boss Vince McMahon Under Federal Investigation for Allegations of Sexual Misconduct and Trafficking

Vince McMahon, the former professional wrestling executive and businessman famously known as the founder of the illustrious WWE, is under ongoing federal investigation regarding allegations of sexual misconduct and sex trafficking. John Laurinaitis, former talent-relations executive is the second person who faces the allegations.

According to one of the recent reports by Front Office Sports, WWE president Nick Khan and COO Brad Blum are other people who have been identified as key figures in the lawsuit. Both Khan and Blum, according to the report, are not “personally accused” but they were involved in the scheme involving Janet Grant, who was employed “in a completely undefined role, except for the understanding that she remain a sexual slave to be used and trafficked by McMahon within the WWE.”

A WWE spokesperson has also shared in a statement, “WWE takes Ms. Grant’s allegations very seriously and has no tolerance for any physical abuse or unwanted physical contact. Neither Nick Khan nor Brad Blum, before the lawsuit was filed on January 25, 2024, were aware of any allegation by Ms. Grant that she was the victim of abuse or unwanted physical contact; nor does the complaint allege that either knew of such.”

The founder has stated that these allegations are “baseless” and he will work on defending himself strenuously. Apart from the involved personalities, former WWE interim CEO Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon’s daughter, is also identified in the lawsuit.

Another person who is identified in the lawsuit is former general counsel and head of WWE’s legal department, Brian Nurse. He is accused of helping hire Grant for the position in WWE’s legal department, a position for which she was unfit.

However, the lawsuit does not specify whether these identified individuals, referred to as Corporate Officers, knew about any of the abusive behaviors Grant was going through, as she later accused both McMahon and Laurinaitis of committing.

Nick Khan, who is a business executive and is now serving as the president of the WWE, has achieved prominent business success. He is also a childhood friend of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. As per FOS, Netflix and WWE have also announced a novel deal worth $5.2 billion over ten- years.

With the deal, WWE will be able to broadcast globally and the wrestling organization also recorded $1.326 billion in revenue the previous year. TKO Group Holdings, WWE, and UFC are worth under $14 billion. In April, 40th WrestleMania will be held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
